A double fatal car accident has occurred in Longmont this morning, May 9, at Ken Pratt Boulevard (Highway 119) and 119th Street. The Longmont Police Department and Longmont Fire Department are on the scene.

Two men who were in a black, four-door Pontiac, have died. Their names have not yet been released, but it has been disclosed that they are between the ages of 30 and 35. There was a third adult passenger in the vehicle who sustained minor injuries.

The second vehicle involved in the incident was a blue, four-door Jeep Liberty. The driver, a 32-year-old Dacono resident, has minor injuries.

The two vehicles collided near the old sugar beet factory.

The police department expects to be on the scene for several hours. Ken Pratt Boulevard (Highway 119) is closed in both directions at 3rd Avenue to the east and Martin Street to the west. Motorists will need to find an alternate route to access Longmont or Boulder.
