Deputy Saves Calf From Colorado Blizzard

When Deputy Sue saw a black speck in a field of white snow on Wednesday, she had to check it out.

According to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, the deputy discovered that black speck was a little calf buried in deep snow with no other cows around. The rancher was snowed in, too, so Deputy Sue put the calf in the back of her truck. BCSO says the calf is going to be okay.

Boulder, Longmont, and Niwot saw between 14 and 24 inches of snow from March 23's blizzard, which shut down Denver International Airport and left hundreds of thousands of Coloradans without power all over the state.
