Could there be a more Colorado headline? I don't think so.

A recent report from CBS4 outlined Denver Beer Company's plans to reduce their CO2 emissions by putting their output to good use: cultivating and stimulating plant growth at The Clinic, a Denver-based dispensary.

For beer newbies, a part of the fermentation process involves the release of CO2, but these emissions can seriously harm our environment. Luckily, cannabis plants (and all plants, really) love a little carbon dioxide. According to CBS4, "They will use technology created by Earthly Lab to capture carbon dioxide and the brewery is expected to capture more than 100,000 lbs. per year, officials say."

Denver Beer Company is the first to capture their CO2 for the purposes of using it to grow marijuana, and the local solution means that The Clinic doesn't have to use manufactured CO2 shipped across the U.S. It's a win-win for everyone.
