A pair of Northern Colorado high school boys basketball squads have found themselves ranked No. 1 as they head into the final month of the regular season.

The undefeated Resurrection Christian School (13-0) of Loveland is the top-ranked team in Class 3A, with 15 of 16 first-place votes in the latest poll released earlier this week.

Highland High School (11-1) of Ault is the top ranked team of Class 2A.

According to MaxPreps stats, Resurrection Christian has three seniors averaging double-digit points per game for the Cougars: Reece Johnson (18.0), Isaac Jessup (16.8) and Jackson Romero (10.5).

Highland, meanwhile, is on a seven-game win streak after its only loss of the season — 90-89 to Eaton back on Dec. 13.

According to MaxPrep Stats, the Huskies have four players averaging double-digit points: senior Tate Bessire (23.6), and juniors Jase Bessire (15.1), Bowen Tolle (14.3) and Holden Morgan (13.4).
