Becky Hammon, a three-time All American while playing for Colorado State, broke all sorts of records as a Ram, and has now set a record with her job as Head Coash of the Las Vegas Aces.

Her number, 25, has been retired from the CSU Women's Basketball team and hangs proudly in Moby Arena. A well-deserved honor for the stellar player.

Professional Career/Player

Hammon played for the New York Liberty for seven seasons, and the San Antonio Stars for seven seasons, as well as European league play for five years, before landing a job with the NBA's San Antonio Spurs as Assistant Coach in 2014.

During a game in the 2020 season, Spurs Head Coach, Greg Popovich was ejected; Hammon stepped up to become the first acting Head Coach in NBA history.

Now, 44-year-old Becky Hammon is the Head Coach and General Manager of the WNBA Las Vegas Aces.


Sports Illustrated reports that, though details of the contract are unknown at this time, Hammon is set to be the WNBA's highest paid coach.
