Colorado State University is one of the most sustainable institutions around.

In its annual "Cool Schools" ranking, Sierra Magazine looks at schools for their sustainability efforts like environmental activism, waste management operations, renewable energy, and more. Out of 312 universities that were ranked, CSU brought home the #7 slot, beating Cornell University and The University of California, Berkeley.

CSU President Joyce McConnel commented on the honor, mentioning that "at CSU, we know a commitment to a sustainable environment is a lifelong effort and we are always striving to be an even more sustainable campus and community.”

According to Source, this is the seventh time in a row that CSU has made the list.
