Even though neither team has the best of records this season that doesn't mean they aren't going to put their best efforts in today. Colorado State is 2-6 and the Wyoming Cowboys are just 1-7 for the season. But today they aren't fighting for their record, they are fighting for the Bronze Boot trophy.

The Bronze Boot has been a tradition since 1968 after the actual boot worn in Vietnam by CSU ROTC instructor John Romero was bronzed. The Boot has been traveling back and forth between the teams ever since the tradition was started. Today either the boot will reside with Wyoming or cross the border back to Colorado State.

CSU coach Jim McElwain had a shocking moment when he asked his players to raise their hands if they had actually seen the trophy. The coach noted that only a few hands went up belonging to a few 5th year seniors who were on the bench when CSU last beat Wyoming in 2008.

The kick-off for today's game starts at 2:30 at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, Wyoming.
