Comedic Legend Jonathan Winters Passes Away at 87

This really saddens me. The great comedian Jonathan Winters has passed away at the age of 87 at his home in California. He passed due to natural causes on Thursday, April 11th. A long time friend said he was surrounded by family and friends.

He was a great comedian. My parents first introduced me to his comedy via the film, 'It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Wold' and after that I was hooked. I remember I would stay up late to catch reruns of him on PBS and if I could, I would rent his VHS'. My grandmother even played me his comedy records! I eventually just went out and bought some of his records (vinyl) to listen to.

He was a huge influence on Robin Williams and others and I would like to say, "thank you Jonathan for bringing so many smiles and so much laughter into this world and my life."

The great thing about technology these days is I don't have to stay up to watch clips of him any more thanks to Youtube.
