Colorado’s Weekly COVID-19 Vaccine Shipment Delayed

A shipment of over 100,000 COVID-19 vaccines that was expected to arrive in Colorado this week has been delayed due to winter weather conditions.
According to a press release from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, COVID-19 vaccine doses that were set to arrive in Colorado this week are delayed after a winter storm impacted a distribution hub in Tennessee.
The vaccine doses were initially expected to arrive between Tuesday and Thursday of this week; now, it's unknown when the shipment of 133,000 doses will arrive in the state.
The press release says the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is working with Colorado’s health care providers and local public health agencies across the state to make adjustments over the next few days to make sure vaccine appointments and clinics do not need to be canceled.
“The state expects more information about when we will receive the vaccine as the weather clears and shipping operations resume,” the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment said in a statement.
