After CSU football was shut down earlier this month, sports have returned to Colorado State Athletics, though there are more stipulations for players both on and off the field.

As the university enters its second week of classes, according to a press release, teams will "return to activities as allowed by the NCAA and approved by the University’s Pandemic Preparedness Team (PPT)."

Students do have the opportunity to opt out of activities by the end of the day today, and those who don't will be able to continue their sports under strict guidelines set up by the school and the NCAA. It was also noted that athletic staff and students are not allowed to discuss the pending investigation conducted by the President's Office.

These students still will not take place in the Mountain West Conference, which postponed all events earlier this month due to the threat of COVID-19.

Joe Parker, Director of Athletics, commented on the return to activities and said "Though we aren’t able to provide a normal fall semester of activities for our student-athletes due to the postponement, it’s imperative that we provide the sense of structure that our student-athletes deserve by returning to the maximum level of activity possible."
