Colorado Moms Upset by Hooters Boy Scout Volunteers, Dads Seem OK With It

Colorado parents reached out to The Denver Channel, outraged over a recent Hooters sponsorship at a Denver Boy Scout camp...well, at least some moms were.

Let me just give you the run down: There was a Cub Scout camp in Denver. Hooters sponsored it. The Hooters girls volunteered, and posed for photos with the young boys, which ended up on the Hooters Colorado Facebook page (and have since been removed). Parents got upset, and the Boy Scouts of America released the following statement (via thedenverchannel.com):

“A restaurant extended support to help make a local Cub Scout Day Camp possible and provided volunteers for the camp. The group of trained volunteers mistakenly wore the wrong attire and it was addressed by our Council leadership. The Boy Scouts of America relies on millions of dedicated volunteers and we are very appreciative of their commitment. We extend our apologies for this mistake and look forward to continuing our mission of serving youth in the Denver area.” - Boy Scouts of America

Mistakenly wore the wrong attire? OK, if you know me, you know I'm the first one to knock on Hooters and everything it stands for, but even I just see women in shorts and t-shirts, NOT traditional Hooters uniforms, and for your comment, Boy Scouts of America, I say shame on YOU.
