I was today years old when I found out you could get married at any age in Colorado-- according to Fox 31 Denver, "thousands of underage marriage licenses have been issued in recent years". What??

Colorado is one of only a few states that allow marriage at any age, though a marriage between anyone aged 15 years or younger must be approved by a judge and a parent. If you're 16, you only need one or the other.

Representative Chris Hansen says that he is reintroducing a bill that will change all this, though-- under his bill, anyone under the age of 15 will not be allowed to marry. 16 and 17-year-olds, though, will need the approval of a judge.

Hopefully this cuts down on the amount of suspicious marriages going down, and points Colorado in the right direction when it comes to protecting minors.
