Colorado Man 5th in the Nation for Movember Fundraising
If you don't know what Movember is, let me break it down.
Movember is something that happens during November, when men grow facial hair to raise awareness and funds regarding men’s physical and mental health issues.
Well, Denver local Jeff Hartman is one of the top Movember fundraisers in the United States and has been for the past 8 years.
Jeff raised $23,000 in 2017 and last year he raised $31,000, finishing 5th in the nation.
To raise more money, Jeff is hosting a Movember fundraiser at the Washington Park Grille in Denver from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. More than 125 people have signed up to participate.
Every year, more than 174,500 American men are diagnosed with prostate cancer. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men.
These Movember Funds will go towards funding innovative global programs and research, with the goal being to reduce the number of men dying prematurely due to cancer by 25% by the year 2030.
