Cemetery Damaged by Hit and Run in Greeley
It looks like a hit and run crash damaged three headstones at Greeley's Linn Grove Cemetery sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning according to the Greeley Tribune.
No one reported the crash so police don't have an exact time frame when the crash might have occurred. It seems as if a driver was going north on 18th Street, knocked down the chain link fence and kept driving. Two of the three headstones were knocked over and were able to be stood back in to place by cemetery employees. The third headstone has had a chunk taken out of it. According to the report, there is no estimated value as of yet for the damage to the headstones. The fence, however, will cost about $1500 to repair.
