Roughly $30 million in upgrades are set to be made at Sport Authority Field at Mile High just in the nick of time for the 2013 season and giving the Super Bowl committee something to reconsider when it comes to the Super Bowl bid for location.

Main upgrades are said to made to the stadiums video screens making them nearly 43% larger. The reason for new video screens are to upgrade the stadium all-together to high definition and due to the fact that the technology in the current screens is set to expire after 10 years of use.

Other upgrades are in place to upgrade the stadiums sound system as well as updating concourses and window replacements.

"These are improvements that will benefit everyone that's in attendance," said general manager of stadium management. "It doesn't matter what section you are in, seating area you're in. Everybody benefits from these improvements."

As far as if these improvements will increase Denver's chances at a Super Bowl bid are unknown. "It's not really tied to the Super Bowl bid," said Andy Gorchov, general manager of the stadium management, "The potential year for a Super Bowl is pretty far down the road. This is more about a need to provide the best fan experience we can today and tomorrow."

These improvements can't hurt the City of Denver and the Broncos chances at hosting a super bowl. A bid for hosting the Super Bowl in either 2018, 2019 or 2020 has already been made by Denver and the Broncos team.
