BREAKING: Explosion, Fire in Windsor at Oil Drill Site

Fire crews are battling an explosion at an oil well site off of HWY 392 east of Windsor, which happened around 9 p.m. on Friday night.

We don't know the exact location of the site, but according to KDVR, the explosion, which has injured one person, happened near Weld County Road 21 and HWY 392, east of downtown.

Our station is located just down the road at HWY 257, where they say the road was closed to fight the fire this evening.

Last August, a massive fire destroyed the historic Windsor Mill, off of HWY 392 in downtown Windsor, also just blocks from our station at 600 Main.
