It's one thing when a business in Colorado has to make the decision to shut its doors, it's another when you find that it wasn't by their choice.

Who know how long this shop would have continued, after being open since 1958; everyone knew of it, everybody enjoyed having it around. Now, because "business is business," it's over.

Sure, not everyone needed this business, but it will genuinely be missed.

It's almost ironic, as it seems that there are more and more barbershops opening up across Colorado, to find that one that has been around since 1958 is going to be closing up shop.

According to BoulderReportingLab.com, Alpine Barbers in central Boulder will be closed by the end of October, 2024, due to no decision of their own, but of their landlord. Generations of men and young men have stepped into Alpine for an "old school" cut.

It has to be very frustrating to be "kicked out," after so many years; granted, it's not the same owner of the barbershop as when it opened in 1958, but the fact that it has been a Boulder barbershop for more than six decades, should warrant some respect.
