Movie start and cult icon Bill Murray can add crime stopper to his impressive resume, when he helped stop a bank robber. According to ABC News, Murray was in Phoenix Arizona visiting some friends, when a man running down the street with a bag in his hand stopped to talk to the movie start. Murray said to the local news, that "I saw this man on the sidewalk running towards me with a bag in his hand... He started telling me how much he loved me. I told him that was very nice of him to say. Then kind of out of nowhere, police showed up and tackled the man.”

The man in question, was fleeing, as he had just robed a Bank of America ATM. According to a witness, the suspect busted open the ATM with several tools, and emptied it of its cash. Many involved are calling Murray a hero, however Murray said, “I’m no hero, The real heroes today are the men and women of the Phoenix Police Department.”
