Go Backstage For New Kids On The Block's Colorado Show

The New Kids on the Block brought the Magic Summer 2024 Tour through Colorado on Friday, June 28th at the Ball Arena in Denver. We had an exclusive opportunity to hang with the guys backstage and they were everything we hoped they'd be.

Taking us back to the year 1990 when the original Magic Summer Tour with New Kids on the Block was going down, this tour has a lot of nods to the past, while bringing you a show like you've never seen from them.

Featuring Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff, the New Kids' Magic Summer 2024 Tour kicked off on June 14th in Ohio, and wraps up in Indiana at the end of August. Just two weeks into the tour, the show stopped through Denver, and I had the privilege to go back and chat with the "Kids" before their show in the Mile High City.

What started as a "quick chat" with Donnie and Joey from NKOTB turned into a full-blown interview with the entire crew! Donnie, Joey, Danny, Jordan, and Jonathon all showed up for an exclusive chat for PopCrush.

I'll be honest, for a group that's sold almost 100 million albums, and millions and millions of tickets worldwide over the last 40 years, they were all some of the most down-to-earth people I've ever chatted backstage with.

Even after the interview was over, we chatted in the hallway for another 5-10 minutes about Boston sports, etc. Donnie even flexed on me with a selfie he and Tom Brady took in Bob Kraft's suite last season. I was pretty jelly at that point... Anyway, without further delay, here are some highlights of my chat backstage with the New Kids on the Block in Denver.

Own a Piece of New Kids on the Block History

The Dorchester house where New Kids on the Block Jordan and Jonathan Knight grew up was listed for sale ($1.8 million on Zillow) in the fall of 2021. The house was a fixer-upper, so you'd have to be "Hangin' Tough" and take the repairs "Step by Step," provided you had "The Right Stuff" to renovate it. Anyway, it's off the market now but enjoy a look around anyway.

NKOTB Flashback: New Kids on the Block MixTape Tour 2019

In 2019, NKOTB embarked on their first MixTape tour that grossed over $53.2 million dollars and sold over 650,000 tickets across the United States. The tour featured special guests Salt-N-Pepa, Tiffany, Naughty by Nature and Debbie Gibson. It included a stop at what was at the time Taco Bell Arena on June 4, 2019. These are some of the epic photos we caught outside the show!

NKOTB returns to the Treasure Valley on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 for a show at the Ford Idaho Center.
