A new rock climbing gym broke ground in Fort Collins this week.

According to The Coloradoan, Ascent Studio broke ground on its 18,000 square-foot lot on Timberline Road this week, just north of Drake Road and the Fort Collins Police Services building.

Opening this Fall, the studio will include a 50-foot climbing wall, bouldering areas, speed climbing walls, and space for yoga, weight training, and cardio exercise. The facility will also include party amenities, child care, free Wi-Fi, locker rooms, outdoor patio, and a slack line during off-peak times, The Coloradoan reports.

Fort Collins currently has rock climbing walls at Inner Strength, Miramont North, Fort Collins Club, and the CSU Recreation Center. This new facility and the land cost around $4 million.

The city has also been a sought-after destination for new rock climbing gyms by the climbing industry. In 2013, it was named a top 6 city to build a new climbing gym by Climbing Business Journal.
