The 16-year-old boy wanted for the attempted murder of a 71-year-old woman was arrested Thursday night.

According to a press release, detectives with the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Marshals Service, and Broomfield Police Department took Jeffrey Collins into custody without incident at approximately 8:10 p.m. Thursday evening.

He was booked into the juvenile detention center on the warrant for attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault of an at-risk adult with bond set at $1 million.

Investigators are still looking for the driver of the white hatchback that picked up Collins in the 13000 block of Lefthand Canyon. Anyone with additional information about the assault is asked to contact Detective Shatek at 303-441-3633.
