A Dog From Loveland Just Made its TV Debut on ‘Shark Tank’
A cute pooch from Northern Colorado made its television debut over the weekend, appearing on ABC's 'Shark Tank' on Sunday night, as a model for the company ZuGoPet.
The episode featured ZuGo, an adorable toy Yorkie, who helped demonstrate the products that ZuGoPet offers. Created by Juls Bindi and Carolyn Shewfelt, the company focuses on safety harnesses and carriers that also act like a car seat of sorts, for smaller dogs traveling in vehicles.
The Loveland Yorkie has had quite the life change since being rescued from a puppy mill situation nearly four years ago, and then getting adopted by Bindi's sister, who had really wanted a little dog at the time. Bindi's sister named him ZuGo to show support to her kin's company, where he soon became the mascot, doing photo shoots and trade shows to promote the up and coming business. Now, a dollar from every product goes towards animal welfare organizations. Even though the actual company is based out of Austin, Texas, people in Loveland recognize and treat ZuGo like a little celebrity wherever he goes. ZuGo traveled to California last June to film the episode, which aired on TV last night.
