7-Hours Of Swimming To Avoid Police Leaves Suspect Pruned & Exhausted

A hot day like today makes a good swim sound amazing, but swimming for seven straight hours to try and avoid being caught by police is not so fun.

According to NBC Sand Diego,  police were chasing a man facing drug charges and he led them on a seven-plus hour standoff, but he did it while swimming in the ocean!

When cops closed in on the guy he jumped in the ocean and took a two-and-a-half mile swim and threatened to kill anyone that came near him. He swam for seven hours before finally giving himself up to police.

Wow, I feel good about being able to tread water for five minutes and this guy swam all night long...while on drugs!

I feel like there may be a Michael Phelps joke in here somewhere,
