If you haven't already taken a look at this week's forecast, let me be the first to tell you that it's going to be an absolute burner. If you are like me and don't have A/C in your house, then you also need alternative ways to cool off.

Here are 4 ways to beat the heat this week!

1. Paddle Boarding at Horsetooth Reservoir South Bay

You can rent paddle boards at the South Bay of Horsetooth Reservoir for as low as $25 per hour, or if you have poor balance, you can rent a kayak. I have done it on other hot days and would highly recommend doing it this week!

2. Poudre River Whitewater Park

Located just north of Old Town, the Poudre River Whitewater Park is a unique spot that connects the wild nature of the river up the canyon to the public downtown. The Whitewater park is a great spot for kayaking, tubing, or just hanging out in the water. Refer to the park's website to stay informed on safety measures.

3. City Park Pool

Who hasn't seen those slides across the pond? I have lived here for 3 years now and I am ashamed that I have never let the kid inside me have fun at the City Park Pool. Now open to the public for the summer, the City Park Pool is a great spot to cool off. It is super cheap too!

4. Horsetooth Falls Loop Trail

If the previous suggestions don't interest you and you are looking from something more outdoorsy, check out Horsetooth Falls. Now is a great time to see it because of the snowmelt and spring flow. The loop is 2.9 miles and only 580 feet of elevation gain, so everyone can enjoy!
