More than 350 schools were recognized across the country, with Colorado having four make the list; a list of schools that are excelling in ways to make the state proud.

The four schools come from different zones of Colorado: from the north, to the Western Slope, to down south, to the Mile High City. With all the schools Colorado has, and all the hardworking educators, these four schools must really be something.

Four Colorado Schools Recognize by Department of Education

Of the 365 schools recognized with the Blue Ribbon School Awards, California, New York, Florida and Illinois lead the way with the most schools getting the "nod;" Wyoming New Mexico, and Utah had three; Nebraska and Kansas had four like Colorado.
