25 Beers of Christmas: McClellan’s “The Kilt Tilter”
It's the most wonderful time of the year...the time where we're celebrating one Fort Collins brewery every day in December! Welcome to the 25 Beers of Christmas.
This beer speaks to me and my Scottish ancestry...it's McClellan Brewing Company's 'The Kilt Tilter' and apparently, it's one of their most popular cask beers. I can see why, with a description like this, courtesy of Bill and Joey at the brewery:
The Kilt Tilter is a Scottish beer all about the malt. You may be able to pick up a wee hint of the Fuggles and East Kent Goldings in there, but the malts are the chieftains in this Wee Heavy. Massive mouthfeel, hints of toffee and shortbread.
If you've ever been to McClellan's, you know about the amazing service, the kind and friendly faces behind the bar, and the delicious food...but did you know that they have six beer engines? Plus, McClellan's head brewmaster is from Scotland, and his passion for the beer truly shows.
Stop by and celebrate the new year with McClellan's Brewing Company and their ever popular cask pick, The Kilt Tilter!
