The Larimer County Department of Health reported that the number of people hospitalized in the county with COVID-19 had dropped to 22 on Monday (Feb. 8).

As of Tuesday (Feb. 9), that number remained unchanged.

Larimer County is currently considered a medium-risk area under Level Yellow COVID restrictions; under these restrictions, businesses and restaurants in the county can now operate at 50% capacity.

Larimer County loosened its COVID-19 restrictions on Feb. 6, as cases and hospitalizations in the county continue to decline.

Despite the downward trend, the county added 60 new COVID-19 cases to its cumulative tally on Tuesday; Larimer County has now accounted for 18,363 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

On Tuesday morning, Larimer County had a positivity rating of 4.6% and an overall prevalence of 282 cases per 100,000 residents. The percentage of hospital beds in use, 59%, and of intensive care unit beds being used, 57%, were both in the low-risk category.

The total number of deaths in the county remained unchanged on Tuesday, holding at 210.
