10,000 Illegal Immigrants Sign Up For Colorado Drivers Licenses

A law that was passed is going to allow 10,000 illegal immigrants to sign up for a Colorado driver's license.

As the Denver Channel reported, around 10,000 illegal immigrants have already signed up to get a Colorado driver's license as they become available next month.

It is because of a law that was passed last year that allows people who don't have a Social Security number to still obtain a driver's license if they live in Colorado starting August 1.

The state says the program will be funded by fees paid by the applicants. Driver's licenses cost $50.50 each and identification cards are $14.
