Woman Spends Night In Jail For VHS Rental Tape She Never Returned

Remember back in the day when you had to go to a video rental store to find a movie to watch on a Friday night and there was always somebody complaining about having to pay a late return fee? Well a South Carolina woman recently spent a night in jail because of a movie she rented and never returned all the way back in 2005.

According to 9News, the now 27-year-old woman, rented a copy of 'Monster In Law' from Dalton Videos back in 2005. She never returned the tape and the video store has since gone out of business. However, before it did the store's owner had gone to a county magistrate who filed an arrest warrant for the woman.

Fast forward to this year; the woman is filing charges against some weirdo for stalking and harassing her, police see her arrest warrant, and toss her in the slammer for a night.

She was not too happy about it.

Maybe she should have thought about that before she decided to not return her movie. (I bet she didn't rewind it either.)
