Who Sings That “Jar Of Hearts” Song? [VIDEO]

Christina Perri’s song “Jar Of Hearts” has become one of the most requested songs we play on 99.9 The Point. Funny thing is, most people seem to know the song, they love the song, but they don’t know anything about who sings it. So allow me to introduce you to Christina Perri.

Christina Perri was born born August 19, 1986 in Philadelphia.  She is now 24, she’s covered in tattoos, she’s been married, she’s been divorced, she has made olive oil in Italy…basically, she has done a lot in her life. And now she is tip-toeing down to road to stardom with her musical gifts.

Her first public singing was in church at the age of 6, piano lessons started at 8, and musical theatre at 11. She taught herself to play guitar while watching tapes of Blind Melon performances, and attended Philadelphia’s University of the Arts for a year.

But it was her self-made YouTube videos the finally got her noticed.

Her hit song, “Jar Of Hearts” can be found as a live version on a 5-song EP called The Ocean Way Sessions. That came out last November, but according to Billboard.com Perri does have a full album in the works for 2011.
