Justin Bieber has made all sorts of horrible headlines lately for speeding, drugs, alcohol, fighting, vandalism, etc. Well. six days ago someone created a petition to deport the Biebs (who is Canadian) on WhiteHouse.gov and as of this afternoon it had over 138,000 signatures, meaning that the Obama administration will have to officially address the petition.

Click here and you can view (and/or sign) the petition, which is simply titled, "Deport Justin Bieber and revoke his green card." Here is what it says:

We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.

According to the L.A. Times, once a petition tops 100,000 signatures, it will get an official response from the White House. Although, as the Washington Times points out, there is no time frame the White House promises to respond, so it could be weeks, months, or even years before they respond to this one. (I'm pretty sure the government of our country has more pressing things to deal with than a teenager with too much money finding ways to screw up his own life.)

Believe it or not there are several other petitions on the WhiteHouse.gov site asking to deport Bieber, as well as several petitions to not deport the guy.

I guess people are losing sight of the lines between politics and pop culture.
