What is Flappy Bird?

Flappy Bird is the reason my cell phone battery isn't lasting all day. I seriously considered not telling people about it, but I have seen it pop up on twitter and Facebook so I decided maybe to warn you about it.

Flappy Bird is a extremely addicting and frustrating game for your phone. Yup, it's an app and it may cause you to spout off some colorful words.

The mechanics are simple. Tap the screen to make the bird fly and navigate your way between the tubes. Sounds simple, and it should be but its not. The bird flies like it just ate for 5 hours at a buffet. As soon as you stop tapping, he falls like a ton of lead and if you tap to fast he goes fast and flies high. You gotta find that sweet spot. I have been playing this for a couple weeks now and my high score is 10. Yup, 10.

The problem with this game is you keep telling yourself, "one more time! I can get a higher score than that!" The next thing you know, its 45 min later and your phone is yelling at you about your battery life.

Should you download it? Yes. It is a good way to kill a few minutes as long as you know when to stop and it has good replay value because you constantly want to out do yourself. Added bonus: Free!
