MilkIf you haven’t heard about the horrible trend known as “gallon-smashing,” consider yourself lucky. It’s nothing more than petty vandalism but it ruins the days of grocery store workers all over the world.

Some teenagers in Virginia are finding out that things like gallon-smashing are actually crimes! *Gasp*

This particular group of teens will face charges in juvenile court after being cited with misdemeanor criminal mischief and theft for intentionally destroying cartons of milk.

They told police that they were filming the act on video to post online.

How clever. *I really wish there were a 'sarcasm' font.*

What is gallon smashing?

When you go into a grocery store and grab two two gallon jugs of some sort of liquid. Then pretend to trip while either smashing the gallons to the ground, throwing it into the air, or a combination. Then when you try to get up pretend or actually slip in the liquid and continue to fall. –Urban Dictionary

I’ve watched a handful of these types of videos and they just kind of make me angry. My thought on them is, “Wow, you broke a couple of gallons of milk and made 6 people think you hurt yourself while imitating something you saw in YouTube. Bravo morons, I hope you get busted.”

I mean, really?! Pretending you can’t walk on a tile floor carrying two jugs of liquid, that’s the best you have?

You’re 20-second YouTube clip will get watched 150 times (129 of which by yourself and your friends) and some poor sucker working the late shift has to be on mop and bucket duty to clean up after you. That's not funny, it's just showing a lack of respect for anyone or anything.

Hey, gallon smashers, it’s not original and it’s not funny. Sorry.
