This guy is so totally busted. He thought he could get away with not giving one tiny spoonful of mint chocolate chip ice cream to his girlfriend at a basketball game, but now everybody knows it, thanks to a hilarious play-by-play by Isaiah Thomas and C-Webb.

Heath Kufahl and his wife were at an Oklahoma City Thunder game and were picked to compete at halftime against another couple for a chance to win $20,000. Well, in the first round, Heath and his wife made more shots than the other couple. Beating that couple is what gave Heath the chance at the half-court shot.

We're you hoping to score tickets to see the Colorado State Rams basketball team take on New Mexico? Too bad, tickets for the general public are already sold-out, and student tickets sold out in just 3 hours this morning. There is such a buzz going that some hearty CSU souls made it on 9News at 5AM this morning while waiting for their tickets.

Granted, if it were a grown up doing these shots, they probably wouldn't classify as trick shots, but when the person isn't even old enough to make a sandwich, come on -- it's pretty impressive.

For the third time this year Colorado State University introduced a new coach for one of it’s major sports teams. Monday the Rams introduced Ryun Williams as the new head man for it’s women’s basketball team. Williams replaces Kristen Holt, who agreed to resign after four years following a 13-17 season this past year at CSU.

The Fray sang the National Anthem last night at the NCAA Championship game.  They definitely sang it differently than most people are used to hearing it.  Several people today are slamming them for that difference saying it was disrespectful and that the audience was upset that they didn't know how to sing along. Enthusiastic CSU Men's Basketball Coach Tim Miles accepted an offer yesterday to coach for the Nebraska Cornhuskers next year. After leading CSU to the NCAA tournament this year, this is a real loss for CSU. We can only hope Miles' replacement can keep the enthusiasm of the team going.

There is no shortage of videos on the internet depicting impossible basketball shots being made.  This one, though, might be the most epic I've ever seen.

The Fort Collins High School girls basketball team has been riding a late season romp and have made their way to the 5A state semifinals. The Lambkins will take on Regis tonight at the Coors Events Center in Boulder.

Don’t worry it wasn’t during a fight over immigration or health care reform, but President Barack Obama was elbowed in the face during a pick-up basketball game.
