We've all grown accustom to paying $3-6 for a cup of coffee at most coffee shops. I would also hypothesize that we've grown accustom to paying $5-$25 for t-shirts. So how much do you think a t-shirt with a coffee shop logo and what looks like spilled coffee on it would cost?

How about $85?

Seriously, $85 for a friggen t-shirt that looks like you can't hold on to your travel mug!? What on earth is Starbucks thinking?

Apparently the coffee giant celebrated their 40 years of existence by inviting the recipients of the past three annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund awards to design an exclusive line of Starbucks T-shirts.

This little doozy was created by Alexander Wang. And check out the description Starbucks gives it:

This soft, lightweight signature tee features a coffee spill illusion of the iconic Starbucks Siren.

Maybe I don't get modern art, or maybe I just don't get fashion. Or maybe I spill enough beverages on my clothing that I don't need to buy one that already looks stained.

I can go to any discount store and get a nice white T-shirt for under $10. I can walk across the street to 7-11 and get a $1 coffee. I can spill the coffee on the shirt and voilà, instant coffee-stained shirt for $11. I guess the Starbucks logo and the name Alexander Wang are supposed to fetch a combined worth of $74.

According to NBC the shirts are available  at some Starbucks locations, Nordstrom's, or online. The order total with shipping from Starbucks.com? $93.82.

Ridiculous.

Would you ever pay $85 for a T-shirt?
