A new positive thinking exercise that is simple, and could really help if you find yourself always in a negative mind set. After all it is summer, it's time to be happy and enjoy the sunshine and gorgeous weather! This exercise isn't just thinking about rainbows, peace, love, and harmony. It's an actually exercise Psychologist have put out there to help those that deal with Depression, Negative Moods, and Low Self-Esteem.  Of course, you have to believe that it will help you or you are most likely not going to stick with it and therefore it won't be as affective as it really could be. Its fairly simply, and being more on the other end of narcissism, I am going to start trying it myself and I will report honest results on it.

So here is all that you have to do, everyday though, with a willing spirit.

  • Keep a pad of paper next to your bed and every night before you go to sleep, write down three things you liked about yourself that day.
  • In the morning, read the list before you get out of bed.
  • Do this everyday for 30 days.

The article advises that you are free to write down anything you want, from big picture things like 'I am a kind person' to the fact that you were proud you had carrots instead of chips at lunch. It's intended to make you stop festering in negative thinking and focus on the positives of the day, your life, and yourself because after all, every one of us deserves to be happy.
