New Movies This Week [VIDEO]

Headed to the movies this weekend?  You can see an animated rabbit behind a drum kit or re-live eight minutes of someone else’s life to stop a terrorist attack.  Read more for a quick synopsis of the movies out this week, trailers, and links for show times.

“Hop” (PG)
Stars Russell Brand, James Marsden, Kaley Cuoco, Gary Cole, Elizabeth Perkins, Hugh Laurie, Hank Azaria and David Hasselhoff.

An animation and real-life comedy about E.B., the Easter Bunny's teenage son.  He is destined to be the world’s next Easter Bunny, but he wants to drum in a rock band instead.  Candy, chicks, rock ‘n’ roll, and made by the same people that made “Despicable Me.” Sounds like a winning combo to me.

“Source Code” (PG-13)
Stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga, Jeffrey Wright and Michael Arden.

An action thriller about a soldier who wakes up in the body of another man.  He finds out he is part of a government program to prevent crimes by being sent back in time to re-live the final 8-minutes of another’s life.  Oh and it looks like he falls in love.  Sounds like a head-scratcher.
