Man Busted For Drunk Driving Stolen Wal-Mart Scooter On Highway

Cruising along on a highway on a motorized shopping scooter is not a good idea. Cruising along on a stolen motorized shopping scooter is an even worse idea. And doing it while drunk is good enough to make my ‘dumb criminal of the day' list.

According to AZ Central, a 27-year-old man in Indiana was spotted by police driving the shopping scooter going the wrong way down a highway. When police caught up with him they noticed the “property of Wal-Mart” sticker on the scooter. (It belonged to a Wal-Mart more than four-miles away.) They also noticed his glassy-eyes and gave him a sobriety test which he, of course, failed.

When asked where he got the scooter, the man’s reply was simply, “I found it.”

If you were going to steal something to go for a joyride, wouldn’t you pick something a little fasted than a shopping scooter? I’m pretty sure he could have been walking faster than that thing goes.
