Dog’s Leash Gets Caught in Elevator Door [VIDEO]

I do not understand how this happened. In the video it looks like the guy is looking right at his dog on the other side of the doors. The doors close and the elevator goes up with the dog outside, still attached to the leash that is in the elevator. This could have a whole lot worse.The owner said that when he went down to the lobby, he was expecting the worst case scenario. The dog is fine and the owner has a fractured wrist.

I wish I would have let go of the leash, but it all happened so fast that it pulled me in and it was impossible to take my hand out of the strap. I thought the elevator would sense the leash and reopen, but it was too late."
