This past weekend, Derek and I got to something I never thought would happen, we got on a basketball court to play with the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters at the Budweiser Events Center.

Yeah, we warmed the bench for most of the game, yes we were on the losing team, and yes, we didn't make the difference for the World All-Stars to finally come out on top. We missed a few shots, but we did score some points, and yours truly put down a 3-pointer, so I'll consider it a moral victory and a great time.

It was truly amazing to see some of the skills all those players have, up-close and personal on the court. Seeing them do crazy basketball tricks on TV is one thing, but it's fairly mind-blowing to see it live. (Says the guy who gets excited for being able to spin a basketball on his finger for three seconds.)

This is the second time I've seen the Globies and they always know how to put on a show. If you've never seen them, I highly recommend it the next time they're in town.
