I know a few ladies that have little-fan crushes on Denver Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker. (I also know a few with full-on Decker obsessions.) The world will be seeing a lot of Number-87 because E! will be airing a reality TV show about Decker and his wife-to-be, Jessie James and their upcoming wedding.

The show will be called “Love and Other Contact Sports: Eric and Jessie” and should air this summer.

Here is the basic idea of the show from The Hollywood Reporter:

The new Love and Other Contact Sports franchise will take viewers inside the confines of even more celebrity/athlete romances starting with country/pop singer Jessie James and her fiancé, Denver Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker whose wedding is quickly approaching. The series will chronicle the sexy young couple’s road to the altar as they juggle careers, relationships, family and more.

It took me a second to recognize Decker's soon-to-be wife, but I've actually met Jessie James before, she came by The Point studios back in 2009 when she was working her song, 'Wanted'.

Best of luck to the lovebirds, I can't imagine it's easy to plan a wedding with TV cameras everywhere, but if their relationship can withstand his football career and her music career, I don't think a little TV show is going to derail anything.

It will be interesting to see how this helps or hurts Decker's career and celebrity appeal. Quite a few NFL players have been in reality TV shows. But it seems like the one's that leave a memorable mark on Hollywood seem to hit the small screen after their playing career is done. We'll see. I'm sure Decker and just about every Denver fans would like to see him add a wedding ring and a Super Bowl ring to his fingers this year.

What other NFL players have been on reality TV?

Just to name a few: Quarterback Jordan Palmer was on 'The Bachelor', cornerback Dion Sanders had 'Prime Time Love', running back Christian Okoye was on 'Pirate Master', weide receiver Chad Ochocinco had 'The Perfect Catch', wide receiver Terrell Owens had 'The T.O. Show', and a whole slew of players have been on 'Dancing With The Stars' (Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Warren Sapp, Jason Taylor, Lawrence Taylor, Michael Irvin, Chad Ochocinco, Kurt Warner and Hines Ward.) Also, seven different NFL teams have been featured so far in the 'Hard Knocks' series.
