Crooks Leave Trail Of Stolen Candy Wrappers – Dumb Criminal Of The Day

There are plenty of dumb criminals out there, but this scheme sounds more like something out of a Yogi Bear cartoon than it does a real crime.

Police were able to follow a trail of discarded candy wrappers to find four people who stole from a little league snack bar.

Stealing from a little league snack bar, really!?  Let’s see what karma has in store for these lowlifes.

According to WPRI, this all went down northeast of San Diego. Police were called because people heard loud noises coming from the little league ball fields.

Officers followed a trail of empty cookie, chip and Cheetos packages for about two blocks to a home where more snacks were found in a car.

Police found more stolen food and a cash register inside the home and arrested four people inside for investigation of burglary.

Stealing from a little league snack shack is bad enough, but leaving a 'Hansel and Gretel'-esque trail of stolen candy wrappers to your home is just plain stupid.
