My "Say What!?" stories aren't always about people doing dumb stuff or weird oddities, sometimes we have truly awesome people on here. This is one of those stories. His name is J.D. TenNapel, he is 15-years-old and is a hero. He was outside doing chores when he noticed flames in the distance. Those flames were the start of the High Park Fire. He then jumped on his atv and headed up the road to warn neighbors and get them out of the area. In the process of warning neighbors, the flames got behind them and he had to try and get through the flames and smoke so his dad didn't have to come in after him. In the process of driving back through the fire, the smoke caused the engine in the atv to stall and he suffered 2nd-degree burns on his arms, legs and back. I give this kid a standing ovation for going beyond what he had to do. The world needs more people like this. I wish him a speedy recovery.
