Cloud 9 Caregivers Opens As Northern Colorado’s First Recreational Marijuana Shop

Northern Colorado had the doors of its very first recreational marijuana shop open today. Cloud 9 Caregivers had their recreational grand opening in Garden City, Colorado. (In the Greeley/Evans area.)

Cloud 9 Caregivers is located at 2506 6th Ave, Garden City, Colorado 80631

I'm assuming, that if this opening is like any of the ones that happened on January first in Colorado, this place will be busy. (Retail sales on marijuana topped $5-million in their first week in Colorado.) Garden City is one of the very few towns in Weld County that chose not to ban retails marijuana.

As of right now, there is only one other Greeley area retail marijuana shop listed on the map of Colorado pot shops put together by the Coloradoan, that one is Nature Herbs and Wellness, but I do not believe they can do recreational sales yet. According to Cloud 9's blog, there is a third medicinal shop in Garden City that has an application pending for recreational sales as well.

7News reports that three other shops will opening in Garden City this spring to sell recreational marijuana including; Colorado Cannabis Care, LivWell, and Natures Herbs and Wellness.
