A lot of people wonder where Carly Rae Jepson came from. She's hit it big with "Call Me Maybe", but most of us here in the U.S. don't know much about her. Check out this video from her stint on Canadian Idol back in 2007 and read a little about the success she's seen in her home country before "Call Me Maybe" got stuck in all of our heads.

Jepson placed third in that season of Canadian Idol and in 2008 she released her debut album called "Tug of War".  That collection of tunes garnered her a MuchMusic Video Award nomination, two gold-certified singles and two Juno Award nominations.

In 2012 she released another EP called "Curiosity", which contains the infectious hit, "Call Me Maybe", which hit #1 in Canada, The USA, Australia, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

You can read more about Jepson in her official Biography. Meanwhile, check out her latest collaboration with Owl City called, "Good Time".
