Apple is notorious for making its iPhones thinner and thinner with each new model they release - the next time around is no exception.

Technology insiders are saying the next generation of iPhones might come without the standard 3.5 mm headphone jack in order to make the device thinner. Instead, users would plug their headphones into their iPhone's Lightning port or connect wirelessly through Bluetooth.

This move would make the iPhone 7 Apple's thinnest phone yet.

Users would use newly designed earbuds that plug into the Lightning port, or they would need to purchase an adapter to plug in outdated earbuds.

Of course, this is just a rumor. So it's possible iPhone users won't need to drop money on new headphones and/or adapters for a while.
