Some people, namely me, have a problem. A shopping problem. Things is, it has been pretty easy to curb the problem as of late in Fort Collins due to a lack of a good mall. That all is about to change however. Walton Street Capital and Alberta Development Partners purchased the Foothills Mall in July for $39.6 million and plan to redevelop it with an eye on reopening for the holiday season in 2014.

Last week a Denmark supermarket said that the first 100 people to come into their store would get to keep $276 worth of food, booze, whatever they could fit in their cart. If you've never been in a Cost Plus World Market, you don't know what you're missing. Furniture, home decor, food/snacks, kitchen stuff, and all kinds of things fill the World Market shelves, and most of it is probably stuff you won't find anywhere else.

As I was driving through Front Range Village I was stoked to see a sign at the old Ultimate Electronics location that a Cost Plus would, in fact, be opening soon in Fort Collins.

I love shopping online and one of my favorite sites to shop is Etsy.com . The Etsy website says "Etsy is more than a marketplace: we're a community of artists, creators, collectors, thinkers and doers." There may be some very unhappy shoppers Christmas morning. Fox 31 News is reporting that just days before the holiday, Best Buy is alerting some customers that it will not be able to fill their online orders.

These are not just orders placed last-minute, many of them date all the way back to Black Friday orders made in November. The reports says that Best Buy blames ‘overwhelming demand for some products’ for the problem.
