A Florida woman is now facing up to 20 years in prison after robbing 3 banks in half an hour to pay for rent and her daughter's graduation party.

Cindy Sanchez Carabeo, 50, of Brandon, Florida, pleaded guilty in federal court on Thursday to one count of interfering with interstate commerce by robbery. She told the judge she robbed the banks to pay rent and to cover her daughter's graduation party.

Carabeo was arrested in May after stealing $6,000 from a BB&T Bank, a Wells Fargo, and Florida Central Credit Union in Brandon, all within 30 minutes. However, it took even less time for police to put her into custody.

"By the time she made it home after that 3rd robbery, within 15 minutes we had her in custody and all 3 bank managers were able to positively identify her," said Larry McKinnon of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say Carabeo wrote "Happy Mother's Day" on one hold-up note after threatening to kill a teller, according to Sun-Sentinal.com.
