Driving and hand sanitizer can be a dangerous mix…if you’re stupid enough to drink the stuff like this Connecticut woman did!

According to the Middleton-CT, a 36-year-old was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive right after a breathalyzer showed she had blood-alcohol content around .16.

Police pulled her over after they saw her come speeding around a corner, spin out of control and nearly hit a parked car.

An officer smelled alcohol inside her car…and [she] denied drinking any so a sobriety test was offered and she failed. Later, she admitted to drinking half a bottle of hand sanitizer.

Sorry about almost causing a nasty accident, I just drank a bottle of hand sanitizer?!

TV news station WTNH asked the woman why she drank the sanitizer, and her answer was, "I just saw it there so I drank it."

ER doctors say a small 2 oz. bottle of hand sanitizer is the equivalent of four shots of vodka. Wilcox drank a half of a big bottle; the equivalent of 32 shots of vodka.

Wow.

She could be my new poster-child for the D.C.O.T.D.
