Which Western State Is A Norwegian Slang Term For ‘Crazy?’
Texas is now apparently a slang term for "crazy" in Norway.
The term is commonly used in the context of the phrase "det var helt Texas," which is loosely translated to "it was totally/absolutely/completely crazy."
Norwegian consulate in Houston, Anne Ekern, suggests its use goes back to "watching cowboy movies and reading literature about the wild West."
